How is the Dremel 3000 different from the Dremel 300?
The Dremel 300 is one of the most well liked and well used variable speed rotary tool today and the Dremel 3000 is an improved model.
Which Includes:
- The nose cap has been redesigned and includes the new EZ (Easy) twist cap that has a wrench incorporated into it that allows the accessories to be tightened which means that you do not need a separate tool.
- Redesigned shape that is more industrialized looking.
- The nose cap is flared so that you can hold it as if you were holding a pen when precision is needed.
- Accessories can be changed more easily because of the new 4 position collet lock.
- On the Dremel 3000 the hanger bail will no longer get in the users way because it has now been integrated into the shaft of the rotary tool.
- The Dremel 300 is longer than the 3000, but the Dremel 3000 is more powerful with 1.2 amp rating.
- All of the speed controls from off to 32000 rpm’s are now controlled by a sliding dremel speed control which allows greater user adaptability.
- Also redesigned are the fans to allow the tool to cool more quickly while operating.
- Less vibration with lower noise levels even at high speeds.
Are there any of the Dremel rotary tool accessories that cannot be used with the Dremel 3000?
Yes, there are a couple that cannot be used. They are the PL400 Planer Attachment and MS400 Multi-Saw Attachment.
